Never Give Up by Stephanie Pavlantos

Cindy Arora August 1, 2023

A knock on his door woke him.

As he got up to answer it, he realized how late it was. “Who could be here at midnight?” he thought. As he opened the door . . .

His Timing is Perfect

Cindy Arora July 25, 2023

I laid prostrate on the floor in prayer with a blank piece of paper in front of me. I was attempting to rewrite the children's story on hearing God's voice. The first draft simply wasn't working. . . .

The Golden River

Cindy Arora July 18, 2023

. . . the worship leaders were simply playing softly for a long stretch.

I don't know what they were doing during that time; I never opened my eyes. I was having my own encounter with the Lord.  . . .

The Suffering Question

Cindy Arora July 11, 2023

I had heard that the book of Job answers the suffering question: Why do we suffer? However, I was always unsatisfied with the answer. I was disappointed because . . .

My Grieving Soul by Bay Isle

Cindy Arora July 4, 2023

My quiet time with the Lord turned into a struggle.  I searched my heart, questioning if I had hidden sin. I kept reading my Bible, praying and singing songs of worship that came to mind. Exhausted from my efforts, I continued . . .

Ahhh, the thrill of young love!  My friend Heidi was a widow in her 70s when she fell in love a second time. When love is young, no matter the age, the lovers . . .

Just reading “the Paradise of God” brings a sigh to my lips. Peace fills my soul as I think about walking with my Jesus in the heavenly garden of God. This glorious fellowship is offered . . .

Cindy Arora June 13, 2023

King David would envy our unlimited access to God’s presence.

In David’s day, God’s presence resided in His temple. To encounter the Lord God, they had to . . .

Kisses and Roses By Donna Y. Gurr

I looked at the face of Jesus and held His beautiful countenance in my hands, inches from mine. He gently kissed my cheek, my forehead, even the tip of my nose. Over and over, He tenderly . . .

A Remembrance

Cindy Arora May 30, 2023

Both Memorial Day and Pentecost blew by me in a blur this year. So, today, I am pausing to reflect.

Remembrance is important to God. He instituted seven feast days as memorials for all generations. God created the feast days to . . . .

The Northwest Christian Writers' Conference

Cindy Arora May 23, 2023

I came away from the conference inspired and encouraged to continue writing.

God has me writing a series of pictures books featuring preschoolers who hear and obey God. The idea is to normalize God’s supernatural for ages 4-6.

One book in the series has five-year old Sarah using her authority in Jesus to cast out the demon of fear. In another, four-year old Daniel overcomes his shyness by practicing his “heavenly language.” God warns Jojo in a dream, and he saves the day. Zoey is thrilled that Jesus healed through her tiny hands.

Twelve such books are planned with a Parent/Teacher page at the back with questions and activations. Would you love these books for your children or grandchildren?

I met an agent at the conference who said she would ask a couple of Christian publishers to see if they would take on the project. She was not too hopeful. But I am not discouraged. I have placed these books on the altar. Let’s see what God does with them.

I invite you to join with me in prayer for open doors for God’s books. I will occasionally post updates here and on Facebook. Thank you for your prayers.

Cindy Arora May 16, 2023

I performed a prophetic act this week. I laid the preschool books that I am writing on the altar.

I was heading to church anyway to participate in worship and intercession. God’s presence is always palpable there. So, on a whim (at the Holy Spirit’s prompting), I put my . . .

I’m excited to share with you the fruit God is producing from the seeds sown in Zimbabwe.

The resident missionaries continue to minister in Jesus’ name weekly at the mine and the neighboring farm. Recently, four men from another mine joined because they “wanted to hear about Jesus.” Praise God!

The farm workers were thrilled to be gifted Bibles in the local language. They started . . .
