The Divine Clockmaker

Cindy Arora January 17, 2023

Ever heard the one about the Divine Clockmaker? It is the theory that God created the world, set it in motion, and then took His hands off. It is like a clockmaker wound up a clock, let it run and walked away. The implication is that God is detached, uninvolved in our day-to-day lives. Evil flourishes because God chooses not to intervene.

Nothing could be farther from the truth. Before God . . .

God Who Animates the Word

Cindy Arora October 18, 2022

I write a weekly blog which almost no one reads. You may wonder why I do it. I sometimes wonder myself.

At first, I started . . .

As The Deer Pants for The Water

Cindy Arora March 22, 2022

My favorite part of raising children was the bedtime routine. I spent quiet, intimate time connecting with each of them. I would lay with them and pray with them. Stories and songs were often part of our quiet time together. One of the songs I often sang over them was, “As the Deer Pants for the Water.”

Every time I read Psalm 42, . . .

Heaven is Not the Goal

Cindy Arora June 22, 2021

Early in my Christian walk I thought Heaven was the goal. I set my sights on walking on those streets of gold and swimming in that river of life. But while Heaven is a beautiful place full of glory and wonders, it is not the goal.

The highest goal is . . . .

A Cross-Shaped Hole

Cindy Arora May 18, 2021

I had the American Dream, and yet my heart felt empty. I had a handsome husband and a beautiful baby and a home of my own. Yet peace eluded me. . . .

The Loving Father

Cindy Arora July 23, 2019

The more I think about this “lost” parable labeled “The Prodigal Son,” the more disturbed I get. The prodigal is already a son. This is not some lost little lamb who knows nothing about The Father. This prodigal is already in close, intimate relationship with The Father. Christian, that is you and me! We are already . . .

Big News — A Decade of Blogging & a Bold New Chapter!

Next year marks 10 years—yes, a whole decade!—of posting my weekly blog. Can you believe it? I'm celebrating this milestone in a BIG way!

Drumroll, please… My website is getting a complete transformation, inside and out—including a brand-new name: Heart Fire Studio. 🔥🎨

This new name captures the essence of who I am and what drives me: a heart burning with passion for the Lord and a deep well of creativity that He continues to grow in me. While my art will still be infused into the heart of everything I create, it will now be tucked away like hidden treasure—for you to discover as you explore!

My mission remains the same: to inspire deeper intimacy with Jesus. But now, there’s a new layer. I’m also creating devotionals especially with children in mind, so that families can grow together in relationship with the Holy Spirit. Whether you're a parent, teacher, or mentor, I pray these new offerings will bless the children in your life—and you, too.

So keep an eye on your inbox… The next email you receive from me will unveil the brand-new Heart Fire Studio website! I can't wait to share it with you.

Let the celebration begin!

Zimbabwe Follow Up

I’m excited to share with you the fruit God is producing from the seeds sown in Zimbabwe.

The resident missionaries continue to minister in Jesus’ name weekly at the mine and the neighboring farm. Recently, four men from another mine joined because they “wanted to hear about Jesus.” Praise God!

The farm workers were thrilled to be gifted Bibles in the local language. They started . . .
