Another Pentecost?

Cindy Arora June 17, 2025

Is there another Pentecost coming?

The day God rushed into the Upper Room with a mighty noise and the fire of the Holy Spirit is known as Pentecost. God gave His Spirit and the Church of Jesus Christ was born.

In Hebrew, Pentecost is known as Shavuot. That is the day God commemorates giving His Law on Mt. Sinai with loud trumpets and fire from heaven. Shavuot also celebrates the first fruits, the beginning of a harvest.

The apostle Peter, filled with the Holy Spirit, quoted Joel 2 and applied it to his day. Joel talks about yet another outpouring of the Holy Spirit, called the “latter rains.” God will again rend the heavens with a mighty noise and rain down fire. The “latter rain” will usher in the great End Time harvest that we are all praying for.

If you have been around the church as long as I have, this should be familiar to you. But here is a new thought for me: The “latter rains” outpouring of the Holy Spirit will happen on Shavuot/Pentecost.

I got this idea from listening to a prophetic teaching on Pentecost by Rabbi Jonathan Cahn.

I encourage you to listen (it's about 30 minutes), and please share your thoughts with me. Here's that link:

From now on, I will be watching and waiting for a future fulfillment of Pentecost. May the Lord find me faithfully praying and pressing in, just like those in the Upper Room. Amen.
