The Secrets of God

Cindy Arora April 5, 2022

The secret of the Lord is with those who fear Him, and He will show them His covenant. Psalm 25:14

Who doesn’t love a secret? We love to hear information not commonly available. What secrets does God possess?

God reveals His secrets in relationship, to those who reverence Him enough to seek Him. God revealed He plans for Sodom and Gomorrah as Abraham walked and talked with Him (Gen. 18:17-19). God revealed the interpretation of King Nebuchadnezzar’s dream to the prophet Daniel after he and his friends sought God in prayer (Dan. 2:19). Jesus revealed everything He heard from the Father to His friends (John 15:15). Yes, those who love and honor Him are the ones to whom God reveals His secrets.

What secrets does God have for you? Are there mysteries or problems for which you need answers?

I encourage you (and me too!) to press into the presence of God with a sense of awe and wonder. “What secrets do You have for me today, Lord?” Our reverential awe of our God and King will invite His presence. As we wait on Him, He will reveal His secrets.

P.S. After I finished writing this devotion, I set down my pen and pad, and did exactly as I suggest above. As I waited on Him, God revealed to me that I live a small but significant life. May be that is not a new secret, however, it is just what I needed to hear today.

My life is significant. What I do matters .... to Him. Praise God!
