I signed us up for a ballroom dancing class. I envisioned us gliding across the floor like Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers after 6 weeks of classes. That didn’t happen.

The Sixty Word Challenge
I was challenged to summarize my sixty years of wisdom into just 60 words.
I wanted this to be more than a fun writing exercise. I wanted this to be a heritage piece for my children. But how do you condense 60 years of life lessons into just 60 words? I knew I had to focus on the most important lesson. The one lesson which, if they would embrace it, would enable them to master all other life lessons.
Here it is, sixty years crystalized into 60 words:

I started reading Saara’s book as an assignment for my church. We are beginning a worship dance ministry, and my assignment was to glean ideas for documentation. However, I became so engrossed in the book that I forgot about my assignment!
Maybe you have no intention of dancing or flagging during a worship service. I know I didn’t! But . . .
Dancing with God
Spring of 2016, I attended the School of Creativity at Bethel Church. At the time that I registered, I would not have said that I was a creative. In fact, my confession was that there was not a creative bone in my body. I signed up for the conference, because I felt the familiar nudge of the Holy Spirit. I was being obedient.
The first day of the conference, the lies that I had believed, fell off like a discarded garment . . . .
