You Have My "Yes!"
The Words You speak to me are worth more than all the riches and wealth in the whole world! Psalm 119:72 TPT
I read this Psalm while sitting on the floor in God’s presence. I wondered would I still sit on the floor, in self-abasement, if I had all the riches and wealth in the whole world? I needed no time to think about it. My answer is an emphatic, “YES!”
Sitting on the floor is my position of humility before God. I do that after I have feasted on His Word (logos). I feel satisfied and peaceful after feasting on the written Word, as if it were a delicious and nutritious meal. And God’s spoken Word (rhema) is like a celebratory dessert course. I feel His love and care for me when I sit in His Presence listening for His Word (rhema). The riches of the World do not offer that kind of peace and love. The riches of the world simply do not satisfy.
I also make it a habit of renewing my “yes” to God every morning. “Heavenly Father, I give You my ‘yes’ again today. Yes, I renew my covenant with You. Yes, I fully submit to You. Yes, root out of my heart and mind whatever does not belong to You. Yes, transform me into the image of my Beloved Bridegroom. Yes, use me for Your glory. Yes, and amen!”
How about you? Are you dissatisfied with the riches of this world? Are you longing for a deep sense of peace and love that the world simply cannot give? Then give your “yes” to Jesus. Find your peace and joy in Him.
